Prepare the salad on the side of the plates, using whatever takes your fancy. The sweetness of tomatoes goes well with steak and provides a bit of colour but these are not essential.
Heat a grill pan with a little olive oil and add the steaks. Turn over after 4 minutes or so do cook evenly through. You may prefer your steak to be more well done, I like mine medium so this timeline mostly works for me.
Drain the spuds, add a little pepper and butter and serve with your perfectly cooked steak! Enjoy this simple, wholesome, filling meal!
